Additional Notes of Dixie Lee Sams

Miss Dixie Lee Sams was honored at a bridal shower given Wednesday evening March 23rd in the basement of the Methodist church. A short program, consisting of a reading, a song and hillbilly wedding was given.

The future bride received many lovely and useful gifts which were opened and displayed by the bride-to-be. A group of friends service refreshments to one hundred and two guests and hostesses.

Phillips from Salina; Mrs. Verlyn Gile, of Falun; Mrs. Ralph Brady and Mrs. J. J. Sams-Frain

Miss Dixie Lee Sams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vaden L. Sams of Culver, Kansas, became the bride of Mr. Robert E. Frain of Minneapolis, Kansas, Saturday evening, March 26, in a quiet ceremony at the First Christian Church of Salina with the Rev. Charles Wilson officiating. They were attended by Miss Dana Lou Sams, sister of the bride, and Mr. Richard Frain, brother of the groom.

After a short wedding trip they are at home on the George Gard farm three miles west of Minneapolis.
